cp Great.success had been achieved in scientific research work as shown
by the following,
1) The polyamide plant which was now in operation and producing this
new synthetic material, thanks to the brilliant research team of Dry,
Brene.rs; Dro Grimm and Dr. Naumann,
2) The nylon plant which had passed the, stage of experimental production
and was now ready for production by the tone
3) The Reppe plant where pure acetylene was being turned out under
a'pressure of 6 atm,9the only plant in the world where, despite
the great danger., this has been achieved as a result of the magnifi-
cent work of Dr, Janke.
1) The use of synthetic Instead of natural rubber. in the manufacture
of chloride of rubber (Chlorkautschuk) o Manufacturin ; is to be
started shortly and will open up new possibilities in coating
tte(.khn.quea(Anstrichtechnik) n
5) The new process of producing rubber to withstand low temperatures
developed by the research team of Dr, Breuers, Dr. Jone, Dr, Zanker
and 1~r. Wolff. This is a new kind of rubber possessing greater
elasticity. than the present buns, product and is already being manu-
ffactured by the ton. A larger experimental plant is to be built
next.year0 No other country (including the West) was manufacturing
synthetic rubber of a similar quality.
6) A 1,0% saving in Mercury achieved in the manufacture of acetaldehyde
A new process for purifying acetylene had achieved betterrvaults by
