THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION L The ccaw-ianity of Vidovice, located in the Broko district of Bosnia, comprises the villages of Vidovice, Sopanica and Ucelovac (sic). The most prr rent Coexuniets in the coxmrnu tty of Vidovice aree Tunjo M c,, Nedeljko Petrovic, Panto Lotic and Belic. The chairman of the collective in the cota?nunit%v of Vidovnce is Nedeljko Petrovic. ., A col: ec .ive was established in the community of Vidovice during 19b9, but since manberehip at that time was not compulsory, only about 20 poor families joined it. During 1950 and 19515, local authorities in the community with the assistance of Brc:ko district authorities, tried to force the free farmers to join the collective by increasing quotas of products for free farmers to surrender to the Gover went and by establishing high tax rates. During early 1951, Mari. ja. Orsol c, a free fanner i_ri Vido vice was arrested by UDB officials on the charge of refusing to surrender 300 kilograms of meat to the Government. Eleven others were rawsted at the same time for failure to surrender various products to the Govern Wert. The following are some of the farmers who were arrested and sentenced to the prison in Tuzla,, for failure to comply with Gove anent d . ass a. Mato Marcic, who was sentenced to prison for two years; and f. Jovo Simic, who was sentenced to prison for two years. 3,, Early in 1951, Marko Mil itdnavic, the Catholic priest in the corununity of Vidovice, was arrested on the charge of advising peasants to refuse to let their daughters work in the Volunteer Youth Brigades outside the village.
