CLASS IFICATIN CONTROL - U.S. OFFICIALS ONLY 1. The 6 Trudovak Regiment, stationed in the vicinity of Pleven, is commanded by Bulgarian army officers and noncommissioned officers. The commanding officer is Colonel Daskolov, and the commissary officer (sic)1 is Captain Kunchev. The majority of the men in the regiment are civilians who were arrested as security risks; there are also some Bulgarian troops in the regiment who are likewise considered security risks. Regiment headquarters is located in Pleven, while the four battalions are stationed in surround- ing towns and villages in the proximity of their respective work projects. 2. The 1 Battalion of 6 Trudovak Regiment, under the command of Captain; Zhelev, consists of the First, Second, Fourth, Fifth, and Thirteenth Companies. The commissary officer of the battalion is Lieutenant Todirov. The 13 Company, commanded by Lieutenant Borislav Angelov, Is divided into three p,tonns, the first commanded by Lieutenant Pskov, and the second by Sergeantrko Ivanov; the commander of the third platoon is unknown. The commissary officer of the company, who provides the food for all three platoons, is Lieutenant Neikov. 3. Headquarters for 1 Battalion is in Berkovitsa (N4_1~)44 E2306). The 1 Company is located in Spanchevtsi (XF-3116), an te-men work in a stone quarry. The 2 Company; in Klisura (N4312 E2309), works in a stone quarry and on the construction of a canal between two reservoirs, while the Thirteenth Company, stationed in the same locality, is also working on a reservoir.2 The 4 Company is assigned to the construction of a reservoir near Petrohan.3 The 5 Company is in Boychinovtsi (N4329 E2319) and is engaged in the construction of a rubber products factory and a marmalade canning plant. 1. Comment:' Probably a reference to the political commissar. However, a political commissar on a company level who provides food for the platoons (as indicated in paragraph two), is unusual. Comment: On the river between Petrohan and Klisura, a series of four reservoirs and hydroelectric plants are being built. The entire battalion works on various phases of this project.
