The Hut gariaxr?'Soviet Shipping Company (MESZHART) was formed in 1946 o Its
fleet was cojaDosed mainly of Hungarian ships seized by the Russians, and
of nonverted M'A'TER (Hungarian River and Sea Shipping Company) vessels.
MEF`.'ER now carries out only local shipping traffic on the Danube and Tisza.
The MEIZHART Directorate is situated at Maria Valeria ut: U Budapest V.
