Location On the southeastern edge of Minsk (27o35'E/53o50'id) , 4hite Russian sSR, immediately northeast of the Svisloch River and several hundred meters south of the railroad line to .Io3cow., 2. Plant Installations a. The plant covers about 360 x 270 meters. Tha installations were constantly being enlarged. b. The main building had one 6iemens- chuckert turbine? which was installed in 1947, and one turbine of bovi?t origin. Each turbine had one hoiler set, A ird boiler se' was under construction. the installation of a. 25X1 third turbine was also p a. . c. The boilers were fueled with peat and coal. the conveyor system for peat and coal leads over the top of the main build- ing. The boilers were charged from overhead. The main build- ing also housed the ytching station. An additional switch- ing station was under construction in the transformer station, which was temporarily occupied by P'vWs. The installation of a turbine and a boiler started in January 1949. The smokestack for the annex was erected in March 1949, Soviets said that the new boiler and the turbine, one of a total of four, were scheduled for operation by the Summer of 1949, ,.. I the total capacity of the three operating turbinewas about 50,000 kws. The capacity of the new fourth turbine was to be 25,000 kws. 6.
