THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
Two new ways (Nos. 1 and 2) are now under construction at this shipyard. Way
No. 2 is progressing almost according to schedule and was more than half
finished by 20 September 1951, according to I Ia progress con- 25X1
ference held at Wismar on that day. Way No, , which s o d have reached
a similar stage by then, was only one quarter completed.
2. Shipbuilding Shed (Schiffbauhalle)
One large shipbuilding shed with two extensions (north and south) is under
construction. The foundation was completed by 10 September 1951 and on 20 25X1
September 1951,fifteen vertical supports had been erected. The work, however,
remains well behind schedule because of the unavailabili of a portal crane,
as well as a short circuit in an underground cable. The
conference of 20 September 1951 statedthat,while work on e Aneu sou a
been three-fifths executed by that date barely half of it had, actually been
completed.
1 New Power Station
A new power station is to be built at this shipyard,, which, however, does not
even have the plans for it yet. The conference held 25X1
at Wismar on 20 September 1951 stated that this project was have been almost
half finished by that date, but that actually work on it had barely been
started. Difficulty is being experienced in placing the order for the boilers
with WB EKM. The boiler housing had been completed by 20 September 1951.
Cableway Crane
One large cableway crane mounting twelve cranes is being built between the two
new ways. Its foundation was to be completed by 25 September 1951,according
to conference held on 20 September.195l at Viismar.
The minutes so s atea tna the first structural parts were to arrive on 29
September 1951. Work on this crane construction was way behind schedule on
20 September 1951.

New Works Buildings
Three new works buildings (Nose 1 (a)jp Y (b) and u) were to be finished by
30 September 19510 according to the conference held 25X1
at Wismar on 23 August 1951a
6. Docks
Work on the construction of new docks along the ways and on the extension of
old ones was completed except for the lighting by 20 September 1951*
Other Work
According to thel conferees of 20 September 19510 work is also
under way on a building to house the teohntoal offices of the shipyard,, on a
long distance heating system,, on a railbead0 on new roads and-on gas0 as well
as on the extension of the water supply system and the electric power networke
Work on the coal bunker had to be suspended as excavations revealed that the
selected site was blocked by a main IS 1.
