1. Activities at Shanghai Air Base Command from 17 to 27 December:
a. On 17 December two fighters practiced landings and take-offs (LTO)
at Taohang from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. One trainer practiced LTO at
Hungjao from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thirty recent graduates from Chiamussu
Aviation Training School arrived in Shanghai by transport plane and
boarded trains fo; destinations in Chekiang and Fukien.
b. On 18 December one bomber left Lunghua at 10:20 a.m. and returned
at 12:20 p.m. One reconnaissance plane practiced LTO at Hungjao from
3:30 p.m. to 3:50 p.m.
c. On 19 and 20 December: bad weather
d. On 21 December, two trainers from the Aviation Training School practiced
LTO at Hungjao from 9:20 a.m. to 10:20 a.m. One reconnaissance plane
practiced LTO at Tachang from 12:15 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. Three fighters
practiced LTO and dives over Tachang from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. One trans-
port left Lunghua for Nanking.
e. On 20:: December, three fighters practiced diving over Tachang from 1:20 p.m.
to 2:20 p.m. Two fighters practiced night LTO at Tachang from 7:50 p.m.
to 8:50 p.m.
f. On 23 December, one transport landed at Lunghua at 3 p.m.
g. On 24 December, a reconnaissance plane left Hungjao at 10:20 a.m. for
a reconnaissance flight over the T'aihu (120- , 31- ) area, and returned
at 12:20 p.m. One transport left Lunghua toward Nanking at 3 p.m. Three
fighters practiced LTO at Taohang from 3:40 to 4:20 p.m.
h. On 25 December, two fighters left Tachang for Nanking at 9:20 a.ma*+~

flight over Wusungk'ou (121- , 31- ) at 10:20a.m. and returneft 12:30
p.m. Two YAK -10's assigned to the 13 Group arrived at Tachang

Nanking at 2 p.m. One bomber squadron left Lunghua at 4830 p.m. for
bombing practice at the Shengazu ( lit ) Islands and returned
at 5:30 P. M.
J. On 27 December, three fighters practiced LTO at Tachang from 2830 p.m,
to 3 p.m. One transport landed at Lunghua at 3:50 and left for an
unknown destination at 4820 p.m.
2. On 27 December the directors of various bureaus, superintendents of various
airfields, and wing, group, squadron and flight commanders from Shanghai
and Nanking Air Base Commands attended a "T*ar-End Retrospective Discussion
Meeting" of the East China Air ]Force Command.
