1. On 15 November 1951, Soviet troop units entrained at Lebau-Sachsen and were
transported in the direction of Reicbenbach-Klein Biesnitz. The border
crossing was made at the town of Mme, ten miles south-east of Gbrlitz. The
transport consisted of 2 trains of lt0 cars each.
2. The first train was loaded with military materiel only. It included 4 closed
cars each loaded with 12 horses, and 6 cars with one T 34/85 each. All other
cars were loaded with light trucks. The guard consisted of four officers and
120 non-commissioned officers and enlisted men. All soldiers wore red-
bordered, blue epaulets.
3. The second train included 15 passenger cars, 15 cars loaded with one T 34/85
each, and 10 cars with boxes, baggage, and field-kitchens. This train carried
20 officers, 370 non-commissioned officers and enlisted men, one medical
corps officer, and 3 medical corps men. Staff officers and NW personnel
rode in a second-class passenger coach.
4, The train left LObau on 15 November 1951 at 1221 in order not to come in
contact with the passenger train running between Zittau and Bautzen.
