A freight train of about 15 boxcars, which were apparently empty was observed on the spur track. No loading or un- loading was observed. A track branched off from the Bernburg-Koethen railroad line toward the field. Four cars which were used by Soviet or German train escorting personnel were on this track. No activity was observed there. 3 No lighting facilities were available at the field. Three trucks with box-like superstructures probably mobile radio installations, were just west of the site on which the planes of the alert flight were previously parked. The previously reported DF station was no longer east of the Halle-Koethen railroad line. Five or six Russians were engaged in surveying 500 meters north of Koethen-Dessau railroad line, aboutl,000 meters west of Osternienburg. Jeep was parked at the 50X1-HUM Koethen railroad station. Between 2 and 2:10 p.m. there was flying by four biplanes over Koethen. Two planes flew individually while the other two were flying in a formation. On 20 November, there was flying,mostly by swept back jet fighters,at the field throughout the day. Some single-engine fighters and ground attack aircraft were also observed. *a* One swept-back jet fighter took off at 8:52 a.m. and circled over the field once and another plane of the same type took off at 8:56 a.m# for a local flight, Landings were made by a twin-engine plane at 2:03 p.m. and by a single-engine plane at 2:07 p.m. A Russian general was transported to the railroad station on truck 50X1-HUM E: -1 3. Between 12:20 and 3:20 50X1-HUM p.m. on 25 November, no aircraft were observed at the field. Visibility was poor and there were intermittent showers. The rudder assembly of a LiG-.15 was observed in an open hangar on the northeastern edge of the field. It had a colored stripe above the 'et star in its upper third.
