l The number of personnel at T"ienho, Whampoa and 114ite Cloud Airfields, Canton,
is increasing with arrivals from Hrnkow and Manchuria. Excluding "conmanders,
25X1 A instructors and supervisors," there is a total of 880 pilots, mechanics,
electricians, and ground service personnel at these three airfields as follows:
a. White Cloud: (1) 70 pilots: 31 Soviets, 31 Chinese, 5 Japanese, and
3 Germans.
(2) 183 mechanics: 83 Soviets, 95 Chinese, 3 Japanese,
and 2 Germans.
(3) 20 electricians: 14 Soviets, 2 Chinese, and 4 Germans.
(4) 53 ground service personnels 8 Soviets, 44 Chinese
and 1 Japanese.
b. T'ienho s (1) 50 pilots: 21 Soviets, 22 Chinese, 4 Japanese, and
3 Germans.
(2) 173 mechanics: 78 Chinese, 55 Japanese (sic), 3
Japanese, and 1 German.
(3) 14 electricians: 8 Soviets, 5 Chinese, and 1 Japanese.
(4) 40 ground service personnels 6 Soviets, 33 Chinese,
and 1 German.

c. Hihampoa : (1) 68 pilots: 35 Soviets, 21 Chinese, 8 Japanese, and
4 Germans.
(2) 177 mechanics: 71 Soviets, 92 Chinese, 6 Japanese,
and 3 Germans.
(3) 18 electricians: 10 Soviets, 1 Chinese, 3 Japanese,
and 4 Germans.
(4) 50 ground service personnels 7 Soviets, 35 Chinese,
4 Japanese, and 4 Germans.
2. on 21 December 1951, 20 MIG-15 pilots and 80 11I0-15 mechanics, all recently
trained in the Soviet Union, arrived in Kwangtung from Malden. TING Haiu-
