1, Two Hungarian ships' officers categorically stated that there is no point
between Budapest and the Black Sea at which the Danube can be forded,
2. It is conceivable that fording the Danube was possible last year because
of the exceptionally low water level,, but this was regarded as un-
precedented and unlikely to recur,
