1. The 21 December factory, formerly known as the SET, employs 2,800 workers.
It is located at 23 Popa Lazar Street in Bucharest,
2. The General Manager of the plant is a certain Vladescu.

The factory manufactures the following:
a. Tractors: Each tractor is powered by an eight horsepower engine of
Soviet manufacture. Fifty tractors are produced each week.
b, Cartridge boxes: The factory covers wooden cartridge boxes,
,8' ? 80 x 35 x 30 cm."with iron sheeting. Approximately 200 boxes are
covered with. sheeting each week.
c. Horse drawn ambulance carts: Each ambulance has a capacity for
transporting two wounded men. Ambulances are for mountain use
and have two 70 cm. wheels. The beds are located one above the other.
d. Military-campaign kitchens: Each kitchen has three pots, one 45
liters capacity for tea, one 55 kilograms capacity for food and one
75 liters capacity for soup. Informant says that 280 such kitchens
have been made monthly since March 1951.
e. Campaign bread ovens: There was received recently an order for
150 ovens, each having a capacity for 250 loaves of bread.
f. Agricultural equipment: Plough, harrows and sowing machines are
also produced; no production figures are known.
According to informant, the machinery used by the old SE* factory for
airplane production had been sent to a Brasov factory in 1947.'
