1. After the parade that took place in Bucharest rn 23 August 1951 (the
anniversary of the liberation of Rumania by Soviet troops), Voroshi1i"v,
the Russian :Iarshal tiho had attended the parade, accrrapanied by EnU.
Bodnaras, ',.;mister of eta,,ion nl Defense and `renhari Uenrgescu, .mister
of Interior, visited the area of Banat ( Southwestern: Rumania) near
the Rumanian-Yui;osiav br-rdera
2e They were taken to this area by a special Soviet brmber, cihich landed
in a military airfield near the tm,in of Tintisoara.
3? It is believed that Lsarohal Vc'roshi1c v inspected the air bases of the
area of Banat and the fortifications alrng the Rumanians-Yugoslav
border,
4.. The fact that the L waster of Interior was also on this inspection
tour might indicate the future evacuation of the rest of the inhabitants
from the frc'ier zone to increase isolation from Yugoslavia.
