The North Korean General Headquarters plans tojtake troops from the front line to be reorganized and rehabilitated, and at a meeting on 5 November of the joint North Korean-Chinese Communist General Headquarters, it was agreed that Chinese Communist troops would replace the North Korean units moved to the rear.1 2. Communist frontline units in early November comprised Chinese Communist troops, and North Korean secondary troops and security units,.with a relatively small number of North Korean regulars. Major units of the North Korean I, III and V Corps were in the rear ar Is in early November being re-equipped.
