1. In mid-November 1951 large quantities of Soviet-made heavy guns, tanks and
bazookas mere shipped to East China from North China.
2. In late November 3 Field Army Headquarters called a meeting in Shanghai of
division cadre members to discuss training troops in the use of the new
weapons and to stress Army Navy cooperation in future training. Some of
these cadres were chosen at this meeting to be sent to Korea to observe battle
conditions.
