As of late October 1951, 1!x,!)00 Chinese Communist troops, most of whom be- longed to the 21 Army, were in the Huangyen (121-15, 28-41) area. The remainder belonged to the 35 Army. 2. On 22 October, 800 fishing vessels from the Shiht?ang (121-36, 28-17) area,, escorted by 20 Chinese Communist motor junks, left for the Shenchiamen (122-18, 29.58) area. 3. On 29 October, 11 Chinese Coumunist motor junks and 400 ordinary junks left Haimen. 4. As of late October an artillery company of the 315 Regiment, 105 Division was in the Chaitlou (121-22, 28-08) area. 5. In late October one regiment of a garrison brigade of the Chekiang 5 Military Sub--District Command and 50 motor junks arrived at Yuhuan (121-13, 28-09), where they were to be based from Wenchow. 6. On 22 October an entire battalion of 700 troops of the 105 Division arrived in Huangtaao (121-06, 27-59) from LocWing (120-57, 28-08). WEN Chun-- chleng( ,& ')was in command of the battalion. 7. In late August, 600 Chinese Communist armored force troops trained in the Dairen area arrived in Shanghai and were assigned to a Chinese Communist armored division in that area. As of late October there was a regiment of the 64. Division at Taishan (122-00, 30-00) Airfield. Two or three Chinese Communist Air Force planes fly north from this field and return daily. 9. In late October commercial aircraft were arriving at and leaving Lishe (AR) Airfield in the Fenghua (121-23, 29-41) area, Chekiang, almost daily. 10. As of late October runways were being repaired and air raid shelters were be- ing built at 4iangwan, Tach?ang (121-27, 31-19) and Lunghua Airfields in the Shanghai area.
