in the General Economic Conference scheduled to be held in i.oscow in the latter
part of 1951. The invitc,tions were sent out by the Venezuelan Comxniittee for
Peace and Democracy on behalf of the irorld Council for Peace.
The press reports indicate th? t the topics of the conference will be:
a. The possibilities of a betterment of living conditions among the populations
in the middle of the Twentieth Century, on condition that the peace be safe-
guarded. 11 This will include a study of war economy and its influence Cn
the present situation of the nations.
b
