The following purports to be a review of EA (National Mutual Aid) activities
during J and August 1951 as presented by members of that organization a

1. Much of the enthusiasm apparent a few months previously seemed to have
abated. Although police security measures had shown no appreciable in-
tensification, there had been a narked reduction of activity am members,
As a result, finances had suffered.
Finance's
2. The balance in hand at the end of Irby was 5,000,000 drachmae and Incoto
from collections from June to 20 August totalled 259,100,000 drachmae. A
subsidy of 50,000,000 drachmae from the Central Coittee Delegation in
Athens of the ISKE (Greek Commmist Party) brought the total income to
80,100,000. Follow were the expenditures during the period under e.-

At the-sam time and as opportunity offered, such subjects as general
amn sty, American preparations for war, and the desirability of sup-
porting EDA (United Deamocr tic left) in the 9 September Parliamentary
elections were Introduced. As EA appealed to a wide circle of Indi-
viduals not imruediately connected with the MM, the Party line was
introduced with caution.
