THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
Source reports that Split is the headquarters of a iilitary district
which is listed as the 8 Military District, and which controls troops
aeoigned to the Dalmatian Coast and the outlying islands.,
2m Source further reports that the 1 Infantry Division should not be
confused with the 1 Proletarian Division, and that it is stationed
in Kar.ovac, housed in the old barracks. The 1 Infantry Division
is allegedly part of the Second Army, and its military post office
number is 2478. It comprises two infantry brigades, one artillery
brigade, and one brigade of light tanks.
