1. In early August 1951, the Chinese Communist 309 Regiment, 103 Division,
which, in late July, eras assigned to pursue Nationalist guerrillas Who
landed on 2l July, returned to its former station at t.enchou.
2, (in 29 August a total of six companies, one from each of "our independent
battalions in the Chingning (119--38, 27--58) and Chinyun (120'-03, 28-39)
districts and two from an independent battalion in the Ch'ingt'ien
(120--17, 28.09) district, were deployed by the a+enchou .,ilitary District
Command to esrterminate stragglers from Nationalist guerilla forces.

On 2 September at Ouchiangk' ou, Nationalist guerrillas on motor junks,
commanded by .,U Chu-lin ( }' attacked elements of a guard company
of the 4 ~~'Uitary District Command on three armed motor junks, In. the
ensuing battle one of the three Cininese Communist junks vas sunk and
another was captured. The Nationalists ulso kilted 60 Chinese Communist
troops, and captured 33 Chinese Cornr;iunists, one 60 ma mortar, three machine
ins, and 36 rifles.
