Training missions on 3 September 3 a. Mutanchlang: a Type-99 trainers, 2 TAK-9's, ILIG-15, 1 Type-2 trainer and 5 other planes flew. b. At Hailang, Wenchun and Lankang Airfields in the Nutanchiang area a to- tal of 349 Chinese Communist pilots participated in tPke-off and land- ire practice. c. One military transport flew to Lungan. Liaoyaneand back to Changchun at an altitude of 5.600 feet. d. At Liaoyang 27 NIG-15's with LI Kuo-chih as flight leader, flew at an altitude of 400mo feet. e. At Tangst'un EIG-9 Number 5 flew. f, At Anshan 16 TAK-11's, with Yeh-fei-ma.-fu as flight leader, flew to Hsiuyen (Jpb '0) Fenpchene (124-05, 40-2g), Antung and back to Anshan. mr_ ? 4. Training flights scheduled for 4 September: a. Harbin: 5 TAK-12'5, with 7.UNG Ting-liao as flight leader, will fly at altitudes of 1,300 to 3,000 feet. Nine TU-2's, with LI Chia-lin as flight leader, will fly at altitudps of 2,300 to 3,200 feet. Nine other TU-2's, with ?AI Ch'ing-shao (6 44 )7\ ) as flight leader, will fly. - Two military transports with CHENG Nin as flight leader, will fly long distance flhts. b. Anshan: 1 YAK-11 will fly to Mukden and beck to Anshan at an altitude of 10,000 feet. From 7:00 p.m. on 4 September to 100a.m. on 5 September, ly YAK-11's and 2 other planes, with Yeh-fei-mao-fu as flight leader will fly at altitudes of 6,500 to 10,000 feet.
