1. Three bundred and four 'wisoners of war who were captured or surrendered to
Demebratic Renub?Ic of Vietnam (DRV) forces in North Vietnam before July 1951
were sent to Lungchou in early August where they were held temporarily in
the custoriy of Ki ngsi military authorities. They vers then taken to Nanning
for in(ioetrination and are being held In the Jail on Hsingning Road.
2. While the majority of these troops are German, Filipino or other nationalities,
nine Winch officers are included among them. They are being well treated
and receive the s+?andard Chinese Communist "political education" courses.
3. Then prisoners are primarily technicians and are now being classified
according to their skills and organized into groups according to their
Interests and abilities. After a period of brief training, they will be
assigned to duty in various Chinese Corr-mnist technical agencies,
