1., The construction of a new airfield, . m'oximately 1,200 x 800 meters in size,
has reporteriy been initiated at Permet. It is planned to have three concrete
runways at this field,,
2. Some time in February or April 1951, a Soviet bomber squadron allegedly arrived
in Bulgaria for the purpose of maintaining conunurxications between the USSR and
Albania; for some three months now there has been in effect a regular air service
between Tirana and Bulgaria, performed by a single, three-engine (sic), air-
craft which u:mlly arrives at Tirana airfield two or three times a week,, remains
there one or two days, and then returns to Bulgaria.
