In mid-,July the headquarters of the Soviet Far lastern Army sent approximately 300 German prisoners of war, all jet plane pilots, from Xomsomolsk, Siberia, to P den and Ghsn hurt, from where they were to be assigned to various air bases in Manchuria to pilot jet planes for the Chinese Communists. All these prisoners of war had been held for a long time in :omsomolsk and well indroctinated by the Soviets. 0 During mid-July the Naankow Airfield was expanded to include the former racetrack area adjacent to the field. The work was done under the supervision of Soviet engineers.. In late July this field, with underground hangars, had a capacity of 400 (sic) aircraft, In the Railway Guest Joule, akdeno Fax luuta fu.
