Petwes n 8 -- 12. August, Chinese Communist troops were attempting to encircle
guerrillas in the lisilisok+ eng } ' Huangchuang ( ,'lt. ) ,
Hsishan (if) si-i ), and Huangtu area. On 11 August Chinese Communist troops
in pursuit of guerrillas in the area west of Huangtu included the following
units:

a. A total of 7 companies under the i"lenchou :.,ilitary Sub-Distri ct Command,
including two companies of the 309 Regiment, guards company, "automatic
artillery" company, two companies of the *Jenchou Independent Tattalion,
and one company of the Ch+'.ngt'ien (120-17, 23-.09) Independent Fattalion.
b. One Company of the Lishui (119-sb, 2_(3.28) '. litart' Sub-District Commando
c. Yunho (119--34, 28-07) Independent Pattalion.
d. Sungyang '119-..29, 28-28) Independent Battalion.
