Between 16 and 25 June 19,511 construction work at Gross-Luebars
airfield was in fall sOing, The r_aFaorers who did not come
frorx local construction firms, were transported to the field
on trues, Cement shipments which . ` iere expected had not yet
arrived. A long approach bane was being cut through the goods?
.A.tent camp occuried by an air force unit vas located along this
approach lane. Three wooden buildings were located in the tent
camp,, The construction of 25 additional barracks buildings was
planned for future occupation.
