Prior to 2 June 1951, the Prinz Lu;en '?aserne in itudolstadt (I 51/ 14) quartered
only 60 soldiers who wore red-bordered black epaulets. However, on 2 June,
noticed an additional unit of about 120 men with black bordered crimson epaulets
who had arrived aboard a regular train from the direction of Jena., Local residents
said that, in ad:?ition to this unit,, other small groups of soldiers had also arrived
in; Rudo.lstadt? According to the manner in which they discharged their duties, the
new troops seemed to be recruits, late guards at the barracks installation wore red,
