epaulets. The windows of alnost all quarters were lighted at
dusk. iowever, it was deterrined that the quarters v?ere
occupiod only half as much as they had been before the departure
of the troops. Sr~urce noticed that about 20 percent of the

to the Arnim training area for firing practice with live
ammunition on 3 June. During the time of observation, no units
of more than 40 men were seen in the vicinity of the barracks
installation. Two telephone sections practiced line construction
