Informants state that the withdrawal of Soviet units from the Yugoslav
borders of Itannania and Hungary to the Caucasus caused the Soviet Headquarters
for the Balkans to readjust their forces in this areas This was accomplished
by the formation of two large groups as followst
a. Hungary:
81 Soviet Armored Division, near Baja;
17 Soviet Mechanized Division, west of Lake Balaton;,
1 Hungarian Paratroop Division, near Nagykanizsa;
90 Soviet Armored Division, northwest of Lake Bela.to n;
82 10., and 11wSoviet.aLight Bomber Squadrons in the Balaton area;
b. Rumania and Bulgaria:

2 Bulgarian Infantry Division is located near Vidin;
6 Bulgarian Armored Division, located north of Sofiaol
20 During the past six months Soviet military missions have attempted to
reorgardze the Bulgarian, Rumanian and Hungarian forces on a Soviet system.
Similar to the Soviet mechanized divisions the Satellite mechanized divisions
now include three infantry regiments (instead of two) and artillery guns
of 130 and 170 mmo caliber. The fire power of these regiments has been
increased by 120 and 170 mm. mortars.

A new type of aircraft, four motors, jet propelled, with the' marking PE 16X,
was noticed for the first time at the lane and the Mamaia airfields.
According to rumors at these airfields, ti-de plane is to carry atomic bombs
