Postal censorship offices in Land Thuringia are located in Altenburg (II 51/K 27), Eisenach (L 51/11 76), Gera (L 51/K 06), at post Office in Erfurt GI 510 36) and in Weiner GI 51/J 57). They are staffed either mith L;SD officers or with auesians who speak fluent German and wear FDJ uniforms. Ordinary letters from points of origin in the 3oviet Zone as well as from the estern :ones of Germany and ';;est Berlin are subjected to a watch list check in which letters of pereons under surveillance are removed for special handling. Special atteation,iS given to nail from Berlin which bears a Soviet Zone .return address or has such an address written under a etamp. A general rule is to rege.rd every stamp with suspicion.
