l" Between 19 and 31 March 1951, Stendal-Borstel (N 53/Y 75)
airfield was not occupied by an air unit. Although the
landing field was serviceable, no planes were seen landing
there. The quarters at the field were occupied by Soviet
Army soldiers the air force detail eras 25X1

2. On 2 April, the field was occupied by six single-engine
ng monoplanes with in-line engines and four biplanes.
This was an advance detail of a unit which was

It is correct that the unit now stationed in
Koethen was previously located in Stendal-Borstelo The 25X1
observation of 6 April 1951, in wh ':.._

from Brest Litovsk supports the possibility that Koethen
is to be occupied by a new unit. The Koethen airfield is
suitable for occupation by jet aircraft since the runway
has b en extended.
C t Since the motor vehicle belong to
Brent ;round attack units of the Twen y - ourth Air Army,
they do not prove the transfer of the ground attack regiment 25X1
from Koethen to Stendal.
