On 31 Janu xy 19519 the police in Tarifa, Bolivia, notified the Director
General of Police at La Paz that Rodolfo LoVza, Viscarra and Gladys Emilia
Guevara I=mzabal had been arrested that horning and that a large quantity
of Cor nmist rropaganda had been found in their rossossion.* They were
taken to La Paz and were in prison awaiting trial as of the middle of Februarys,

According to source, the rroraganda, carried by these individuals consisted
of thousands of conies of a red-covered ml eogra nhed. publication entitled
"Cotnriunist Politics, Elementary Course of Dducetion, Course No. 1, Part Z.,"
rublished by the Communist Party of Boliv'i?a; conies of a 24rage printed
brochure, dated 10,5f, outlining the revolutionary program for Bolivia. of
the Corrmuaist Party; a ouantity of blanks for signatures of adherents to
the Stockholm Declaration; and a pamrhlet on the resolutions and activities
of the Second World Congress of the Partisans of Peace, held during November
1-950 in Warsaw.**
