It was noticed on 12 Decorate r 1950 that a second track had beeit con- structed betweenPirna (I; 51/P 33) and fbervogel;esang. '?ork on the Obcrvogel elan -:kTe len Rathen (N 51/F 3C)- Koenigstein (N 51/F 37) stretch was not yet started. About 100 meters of trackage have been laid from ;,.oenigstein in the direction of Bad Schandau (Nd 51/F 57). The second track between Bad Schandau and Krippen has been completed. tdork on the construction of the second track between Krippen and Schoena (N 51/F.57) on the Czech border, a 6-11am stretch, had not been started yet. It is expected that the Bad Schandau Dresden (N 52/F 29) railroad line will be operated double-track in the near future. 25X1 track of the line which runs from Dresden via Pirna and Bad Schandau to Prague, was dismantled. This line has been reconstructed double-track in vzechoslovakia. The line, which is the main transit route into Czecho- slovakia, is of both military and economic importance. Its reconstruction as a double-track line, which has been planned for years, was postponed because of lack of materials.
