On 22 January the only large,* ocean-going fishing junks in the Hone Kong-.
Macao area wore those uriiich were unseaworthy and under repair. Other vessels
of this type were concentrated in the 5 utc area under the Ccmuiunist
inducement of cheap rice and high pricesfor fish. The Chinese Cc monists
are registering all vessels and attcting to restrict their movements,.
