1. Before 12 ovember 1950* the Chinese Communist authorities, through the an
Yong (I7 ) Trading Company of Canton, requested the Sian Hain Company**
in Hon p to purchase from the Hsi Yuan Hang (Sal Yusa Hong)** 140 large
boxes of materials. The,purchase consisted of scrap iron, obsolete equip
ment (including CMC and CATC airline equipment) and communications material,
for which HK $200,000 was paid. In addition, it was necessary to spend
11K 410,000 for the bribes necessary to obtain an export license.
2. The Ching Hue Company** is a Hong Kong firm recently organized by the worth
China Trade Bureau. This company, whose general mans er is LIANG Hum-hain
( recently bought a ship, the YUNG SIIB (1 ), for HK X0,000.
The vessel is to sail between tong Kong and Tientsi
3. The Chun rei hang, 28 Connaught Road blest, second floor, was organized by the
Jan Fang Trading Company**. Its general manager is TANG Chih-ch'eng
4. Chinese Communist business and commercial organizations in j4aoao include the

and the assistant marmger is K'0 Chen-ping***, also known as K'0 P'ing,
brother of 4'0 Lin.

* Comment. The date of this transactions as reported through

sums of money paid as US #200,000 and US #10,000; source's figures
appear more reasonable.
