The Chinese Communists have openly shippod opium from Dairen overland to points on the borders of Hong Kong and Laoao. The first shipment was brought to Ch`' ienshan (113-32, 22-14) across the border from Marcao in August 1950 by YEH Fisitan,;(1M ,), also known as YEEl Yuan. ( 1L! ), who is an employee of the Kwang ung Provincial Government. YEH was aided by three assistants. This shipment was turned over to local garrison units of the Chinese Communist Army to be sold, YEH also established an office on the upper floor of the Chenchi Tea House in iFian.ohai,, and another office at 4t P" eaeh? eng Street in Ch?ienshan. Lost of the cargo was stored at the Wanohai office. When he had sold the entire shipment, YEEi left the kacao border area on 21 October for Canton.
