Between 25 October and 2 November 1950, the Fritsch Kaserne in Schwerin
(! 5t/'T ).6) quartered about 800 troops, some buildings being only lightly
occupied. About 35 percent of the troops we red-bordered black epaulets,
some with artillery insignia. Tie remaining personnel wore black epaulets,
some with signal insignia. Six 60-man units left the installation for field
training on 25 October. Twelve soldiers with telephone equipment went to
the training area on 27 October. signal troops were uar red only in the
2..On 2C and 29 October, the Hindenburg Kaserne on Guestroier Strasse was only
lightly occupied by soldiers rho wore red-bordered black epaulets. Troops of
about company strength were observed drilling. Five details, each of about

Between 25 October and 2 November, the M,Zoltke Kaserne and the Krueger Kaserne
on iudwisluster Chaussee were only lightly occupied, About one third of the
windows of both installations were lighted in the evening. There was no
training activity. About 20 truck,, app sntly new, stood in front of the
closed garages of the Noltke Kaserne. (3)
4. On the ev?exning of 26 October, a unit of three platoons, each numbering about 60
'troops, marched into the Adolf Hitler Kaserne on Ludwigsluster Chaussee, while
about half of the barracks windows were lighted.
