1. About 8,000 men and officers from Hunan are assembled in the ('h11aTtaSoha
(112-59, 28..12) area to rejoin the arnW. These are the onL,, 0X1-HUM
who responded out of 50,000 ordered by the Hunan Government
to assemble in Chwangsha The veterans will
receive military training in Hunan and then be sent to Manchuria.
2. The Hunan Government has ordered all government organizations, schools,
and factories to give military training to all men and women between the
ages of 18 and 20.
3. The Chinese Communists are operating an army engineering school in
Changsha.
4. The Peiping Government has ordered all provincial and municipal
governments to establish Student7nrollment Committees to urge middle
school and college students to enroll in special military training
schools which will be established by the provincial and municipal
governments. As a result of this order, 800 students have been en-
rolled for training in a school to be established in Sian.
5. about 6,000 troops, unarmed for the most part, arrived
in the V 4-h- 1323-07 a 28- 3) o Taient?ai (121-02, 29-10) area from
Shanghai. these troops were at the T?aichou
administrative commissioner0s office helping in the conscription of
young men for the arrrQ-.
