Bulgaria has become the main base for the eastern Blocs on the Balkan Peninsula. Many Soviet military depots were established in Bulgaria before Bulgaria signed the Peace Treaty of World War II with the USSR. These depots could serve the Bulgarian. Army or be used by Soviet troops in case of a war, or both. These Soviet depots are guarded by Bulgarian troops. 2. These depots contain aircraft, tanks, munitions, fuel and quartermaster supplies. These depots are located as follows: a. Aircraft: Lovech. Stara Zagora (underground). Yambol (near the village of Bezmer, 10 kilometers west of Yambol ). Bolyarsko (approximately one hundred TU-6 and JAX-2 planes). Karlovo (approximately fifty TU-2 and TU?-6 planes). Lom (40 TU.6 planes), Dobrich (underground).
