1. There is a border Ouohastuk located in Ivailovgrad. This Ouohastuk has under
it the following Zastavas:
a. Bela Polyana.
b. Slaveyevo (sic).
o. Kamilski 1)ol - oanposed of from 40.50 men and under the command of
First Lieutenant Dechkov. His deputy is one Harkove whose rank is
unlaaorm.
3. There is heavy truck traffic between Lsyubimets and Ivailovgrade
d. Lambouch (sic).
e. Ivailovgrad ? this is a reserve Zastava.
An infantry battalion composed of from 400 to 500 men is located southeast
of Ivailovgrad.
The class of 1930 has been mobilized.
5. An Artillery k at .alion (Podelenie) Humber 4150 was reported as having been
equipped with all new Zia guns on 14 July 1950.
6. There is an saergenoy airfield located three kilometers southeast of
Krunovgrad.
7. On 25 August 1950 between ten and fifteen Soviet and Bulgarian officers
arrived in Ivailovgrad. They got into three jeeps and four sedans and left
for inspection tours of the border area.
Be The tour of compulsory military service for the infantry has been raised
from two to three years.
9. The 8 Field Artillery ikegiment moved to Orehovo, northeast of Lyubimets.

10. During the night of 26 < 27 August 1950, 260 empty trucks arrived in Svilengrad.
These trucks were loaded with 170 families from Svilengrad and 130 families
from the surrounding area who were being deported. At 6s00 p.m. on 27 august
these same families were placed on a train and allegedly were being taken to
the northern part of Bulgaria.
