1. The new Chilean Communist publication, 11tundo Qbroro, scheduled to appear for
sale during the first week of November 1950, will be sponsored by the Comrunist
branch of the Confederacion do Trabajadores de Chile (CTCh Comunista)0 Under
the general supervision of Domiciano Soto, acting Secretary General of the
CTCh, the magazine will be written by Communist writers and news apernen0 The
editorial staff will be headed by Luis Beira (aka Juan Vargas 11.) and Luis
Corvalan Lepez. Corvalan was the director of the defunct Communist newspaper
Sig cog on which Neira also worked.
2. ;tondo Obrex is expected to provide the labor syndicates with Communist-Line
labor information. In practice and as a source of information on labor, the
new magazine will replace k=ci o which, until it ceased publication in
November 1947, was the official organ of the Central Committee of the Communist
Party. It is not yet known how frequently (undo Obrero will appear,
