REPORT NO.
1. The Slovene Planning Commission has cancelled temporarily the planned construction
of the hydro-electric plant in the Komiska Bistrica River valley near the torn
of Bistri ca and about eight kilometers north of Kamu.ik.
2. This plant was scheduled to have a 3,000 kilowatt capacity. The major part
of the power was to be furnished to K,amnik and the surrounding area,, while
the remainder was to go through a power conduit to the Slovenian electric
system in Ljubljana.. The Gradis Construction Faterprise began clearing the
site for the plant in 1949. Temporary barracks for the housing of about
five hundred workers have been erected near the location of the future plant.
3. The construction of the plant itself had not began. The plans for the
project have been returned to the Federal Bureau for Architectural Projects
of Electrical. Installations in Belgrade for technical modifications,? It Is
believed that no more work will be done on this plant during 1950 because
of the general lack of manpower.
