25X1 A 1. On eight groups, four of VP personnel and four of Soviet
sol iers, were seen together in the training area northwest of I3eustrelitz
(N 54/U 54), where they were en;;aged in training with three T-34 tanks.
At first the police and the soldiers assembled around one tank which a
:soviet officer used for instruction purposes. Individual soldiers or police-
men occasionally had to climb into the turrets

2. The three trainin" tanks, each flanked by one Jerman and one uoviet group, were
later seen .iovin, toward the wooded area. The VP personnel wore new style
uniforms.
Cor merit, VP Dereitschaftspolizei units are not known to be in the 17eu
s ritz area, The police may have been temporarily detached from the VP tank
school in Prionervald for training with Soviet 9th Gds Tank Div in the Neu.-
strelitz area.
