1. On 9 October ap )roximatel.-1 CO guerrillas ambushed seven truck: traveling
from Iiueiyang to Kunming near Panhsien (104- 29, 25-.6) 0 The guerrillas
captured three barrels of Yunnan salt and large amounts of clothing and
bag;-age.
2. The Chunghsion (10C-42, 30-20) Public Security Bureau on 1 October
notified vessels on the Yangtze River that guerrillas had raided
Lienorhchi ( fi- ), five miles from Chunghsien, and had searched
several vessels on the night of 13 October.
3. !'b it October CZ1J G Yun-.i governor of Kwanr;si, went from
Kueilin to Canton to discuss with T:.U Chien-yang the general problems that
would be involved in starting a guerrila-?suppression cam,aign in the Kvsang
tung Kwangsi border area.
