Betlaeen 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on 29 August 19509 47 twee soater ground attack air- craft with in line engines and red propeller hubs were parked in four rows on the eastern and southern edges of Staaken (P; 53/Z 65) airfield. All planes were of the same type with a weapon projecting beyond the rear section of the cockpit. Six twinnongine transports, on which no tactical symbols or colors were identified, were parked in the southeastern section of the field. (1) There was no flying or military activity at the field, The grass on the land-- 4-n!7 field was being moved. 5X1 2. The new fuel dump on the northern edge of the field was completed? It cons:ted of three large and four small fuel containers which were partly underground with their top sections painted white. Three large white fuel drums wen near the dump. (2). 3. Many empty bomb cases wore still stored at the Bomb dump although many such cases were recently trucked away. There has apparently been much bombing recently. The northern edge of the field was particularly well guarded. 4. The cloud base was high 25X1 ga 9 o - g p 31 monoplanes with single rudder assemblies were parked on the southern and eastern edges of the field. ^nother single-engine high ring monoplane was seen in an open hangar. (1) The other hangars were closed. The single-engine, low-wing monoplanes had red propeller hubs and rod upper edges on the rudder assemblies.
