THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
I.. -%tuween I.:ay and September 1948 an exploratory ?group consisting mostly of
'Iussians was organized to examine areas for uranium deposits. Exploration had
already been started at the end of 1947 and early in 1948 by some members
of this group.
The areas explored by this group included Pribram and the Giant Mountains.
Samples of water and air as well. as of the ore were collected and Carefully
analyzed in the rain laboratory at Jachymov, after which time they were for-
wwQarded to the UJSR. Also sent to the USSR were bottled samples of radio-.
