During the last week of August 1950, the 46,* t.7, 48* and 16;c Armies of
the 1. Field Army entered North Korea from Manchuria.
A total of 300,000 Chinese Communist troops are stationed at Antung (124-23,
40.09), Linchiang (126-51, 41 -42) and Chian (126-10, 4L-07).
It is reported that all-passonger rail traffic between Antung and Mukden was
suspended during August, and passenger trains on this line are n(%7 carrying
troa,)s and other military personnel.
During the first week in September military training institutes. in Liukden
were evacuated to Tsitsihar. In earlySeptother a Ltukden Air Defense Corps
was created, headed by TUALZ Shu-chuan, also assistant chief of staff in
Hanchuria.***
