According to an internal directive issued by the Frankfurt/ Oder railroad stations traffic passing through this station is to be. incrr,ased soon. The number of transport and loading workers and the available guards are to be doubled, ** Comp-ento All special cars previously reported were 25X1A nine railway cars. All refrigerator cars previously reported were new cars. The replacement axles reported loaded on individual cars were Soviet broad-gauge axles to be used in Brest Litovsk for the refrigerator cars, mine railway cars, tank cars and express coaches. The iron girders re- ported were supports for turntables of broad-gauge loco- motives. For traffic observed proceeding to Brest-Litovsk 25X1A from Frankfurt/Oiler, 29 June - 5 July 1950, see Annex. Comment. This measure is possibly connected with the present international tension and is therefore considered credible. The alerting of four locomotive columns stationed in Frankfurt/Odor a total of about 120 locomotives, and 25X1A the operation of iet transit trains in Poland were re- ported The report in general supplements previous reports on the number of trains passing throu h Frankfurt/Oder in 174'est-Last direction, 25X1A The number of trains reported does not include the scheduled fast train (D2) and the scheduled leave train (Ru 42) from Frankfurt/Oder to Brest Litovsk. The reported number of trains is not unusual.
