REMARKS
l. Ninety to one hundred single-engine ground attack planes with a singled
strut landing gear and a directional loop antenna forward of the rudder
assembly were observed at the Doehsritz (N S3/Z 65) airfield betaeen
9 a.m. and 12: 30 p.m. on 31 July 1950. * Fifty of the planes had the
upper edge of the rudder asserablies painted blue and were parked on the
northern edge of the field, along the 11a;: Highway, ** T'iiirty five to
forty planes were standing in wedge formation in the center of the field,
and 6 to 10 planes were parked in front of the hangars on the southern
edge of the field. The painting on the aircraft in the center of the
landing field could not be determined,
2. The planes on the northern edge of the field -.,Pere refueled at 9 a.m. The
;round around the Manes in the center of the landing field was watered
with a large hose. One of the latter planes took off at 9: 4L5 a.ra, heading
toward Staaken (N 53/Z 6 ). It was unpai,itedd except for a snail red patch
on the trailing edge of the rudder ass.:.-:ibly. The other planes in the
center of the landing field took off in a group at 10:20 a.m. The leading
edges of their rudder assemblies were painted rod. chile the ,)lanes prac-
ticed formation flying, the aircraft on the northern ad ;e of the field
and in front of the hangars remained inactive, 'I'?ie landing of the ?lanes
:ras not observed, nor were changes noticed at the field or its installations,
