By 5 August 1950, 51 Soviet submarines were assembled at Dairen and Port
Arthur and included 11 of the latest model of the "N" class, 15,000 (sic)'
tons; 13 of 1,400 tons; 111 of the "E" (sic) class of 900 tons; and 13 of
700 tons. Advanced submarine headquarters is in Dairen with General
Chu--ch9 in. ehfl is-nat-fa (-h -1-- #11 - ; ) in charge of labor (sic) as com-
mander; W or General N ,i-2e-f sz cht (.q F ! & *j ) (7 Uailev ski)
deputy commander; and Colonel Hsi -ti-kk o.f a Ui7 a; j j,_) (7 Shi ti laav) o
chief of staff.
Presumably this is a mistake for 1,500 tons.
